Plaited Gone Wrong
Plaited Gone Wrong is another stitch that gives a knitted look to areas. You could use it for a furry look if you used a fuzzy thread. It is a very dominant stitch that screams Look At Me, so it's not great for a background unless you want a prominent stripe or two.
