Ripples (and Variations)
Sheena created a stitch called Ripples which is perfect for water.
Then she rotated the stitch and called it Vertical Ripples. This is perfect for water in a creek flowing from the top of the canvas toward the bottom, but it also works for a rainy sky. I can also see this as a flowing dress. The open areas would all the painted canvas to show and create shadows and extra dimension and movement. And movement, after all, is what Ripples and Vertical Ripples are all about!
