Jagged Clouds

Jagged Clouds is another great stitch for either a stormy sky or perhaps clothing.

The colors in the diagram help you understand the stitch sequence.  Sheena says to come up at 1 and go down at 2 as usual, then continue around the shape in a counterclockwise direction until you end at the top of the shape.  Personally I would work this stitch in vertical columns, working the left hand side first, then starting at the top again and working the left hand side.  But work it the way that makes sense to you.

You can add beads and/or sequins in the middle of the open areas if you are using this for clothing or a very fancy background.  It would make a very elegant stitch to fill in a heart shape as well.
