Heart Background 2

The last heart stitch diagram for February 2026 is called Heart Background 2.  (I've not found Heart Background 1 yet but I'm still looking.)

I believe the two colors in the diagram are meant to show where two different threads or colors should go.  This would make a lovely background but just one motif would look lovely as a focal point on a design.

If you use a stranded or flat ribbon-like thread, a laying tool will help make the threads lie smoothly on your canvas.  If you choose a single-stranded thread like perle cotton or Silk Lame Braid, go for a fatter thread to cover well.
